SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS I’M WORKING TOWARDS:

What specific issue(s) are you taking on, and what inspires you to do so?

Much of my work revolves around human-nature relationships and how we steward the natural world. My specific initiatives include taking action on addressing the biodiversity and climate crises at a global scale through policy and advocacy, and supporting communities in sharing their stories through research and film. I am constantly inspired by communities living on the forefronts of nature conservation, and have committed my time to efforts to support and uplift the people and species that are most affected by our shortcomings in nature conservation in the hopes of contributing to a healthier and richer planet for everyone.

What does climate change or climate justice mean to you? To your work?

To me, climate justice is about securing a healthy and thriving environment in which natural ecosystems and human society can thrive.

What advice do you have for other young people looking to get involved in sustainable development?

Young people can start by recognizing that sustainable development is a critical component of everything we do within our global community. Whether your talents and interests lie in business, art, science, or beyond, there is an important place for you in the fight for a more sustainable world – it is a matter of finding your niche and bringing your passion to the table.
