2025 marks the 14th year of our Top 30 Under 30 award and campaign. This means we have had the privilege of celebrating and amplifying over 400 inspiring young people through this award, and over a thousand amazing youth that we have connected with through nominations from their communities. We are continuously inspired by the power, strength, and dedication of these young individuals connected to Alberta who are making the world more just, fair, and sustainable for all.

The theme for the 2025 rendition of the Top 30 Under 30 award and campaign is ‘Past, Present, Future: Celebrating the Journey from Yesterday to Tomorrow.’ In alignment with the theme, we asked the youth of the 2025 cohort of Top 30 Under 30 to reflect on their pasts, presents, and futures in whatever way felt most authentic to them. We posed questions like, What is your foundation? What do you want to give, and receive, from the world? When you look back, how might you know that all your work was worth it?

ACGC as an organization has been running this program for 14 years; In that time, we have seen and platformed many a Top 30 Under 30 that is dedicated to causes important to them, and the world. This year’s cohort of Top 30s is a group committed to, and actively working towards, addressing issues and injustices around the world. Just as it is important to push for change in the present, and to look to the future with hope, we should also look back at our alumni cohorts to reflect on issues platformed over these years, many of which contributed to ongoing injustices – and therefore influence the climate that the 2025 cohort works within today.

Top 30 Artwork

This year, we had the opportunity to partner with artist Esther Dimalanta for the artistically-rendered youth illustrations and the 2025 Top 30 Under 30 logo. Learn more and view the 2025 campaign artwork below!

In the illustrations themselves, you will notice a layered profile effect on either side, intended to create a visual representation of each youth’s past, present, and future selves. A similar image appears within the first ‘O’ in the Top 30 Under 30 logo, grouped with other visual attributes that bring together the concepts that our world – and the people we are – today is a culmination of our past experiences, present lives, and our hopes for the future. This is a ‘staircase’ that we will continue to build and walk together as a global collective.

“My creative work aims to be the center of a Venn diagram where creativity and positive social impact meet. For me, that means creating illustrations that benefit my immediate and larger communities. My work is intentional, impactful, vibrant, and dynamic. I focus on creating visuals that tell compelling stories to provide visual solutions to problems. I believe that good story telling is told better by good design. I’m eager to bridge engaging design and non-profit spaces to bring their ethos and visions to life and move their essential work forward.” ~ Esther Dimalanta
