I am most passionate about:
What specific issue(s) are you working to address, and what motivates you to do so?
I am committed to addressing the underrepresentation of women in male-dominated fields, breaking barriers to education in underserved communities, and raising awareness about the climate emergency. My work is driven by a deep sense of community and the conviction that even small, impactful actions can create a ripple effect leading to meaningful change.
Having grown up in a climate-vulnerable country, I witnessed the harsh realities of environmental challenges and systemic inequalities that many women face. Observing women in my community being denied access to education deeply motivated me to advocate for equal opportunities for all. This experience, along with my journey in Canada, has given me a unique and diverse perspective that drives my efforts to empower young women in STEM, and to engage in initiatives ensuring kids grow into environmentally conscious individuals. By showcasing the importance of representation and offering mentorship, I help them navigate and succeed in traditionally male-dominated fields.
These experiences have reinforced my commitment to fostering progress. Whether advocating for equitable education, mentoring the next generation of leaders, or getting involved in climate awareness campaigns and initiatives, I am dedicated to creating lasting change. My personal drive to improve humanity’s conditions fuels my actions, and I aim to inspire others to join me in building a more inclusive and sustainable future- one where both people and the environment can thrive together.
What is your foundation?
My foundation is rooted in the transformative power of education and mentorship, coupled with a strong resolution to giving back. As an international student in Canada, I navigated the challenges of adjusting to a new language, culture, and environment. While these experiences were essential to my growth, I recognize that having guidance during this transition could have helped me navigate the steps more effectively.
Drawing from the diverse cultural, educational, and personal perspectives I’ve encountered, I am passionate about using these insights to support underserved youth. At its core, my work is focused on providing the opportunities I wish had been available to me, helping others on similar journeys, and ensuring they have the resources and mentorship needed to succeed.
What is your vision for the future?
My vision for the future is a world where equity is not just an ideal but a reality. I envision a future where every child—regardless of gender, race, or socioeconomic status—has access to quality education and the tools to succeed in their chosen path. I see myself continuing to work at the intersection of advocacy, education, and leadership, engaging in programs that empower underserved communities.
I’ll know my work has been worth it when I see more women of diverse backgrounds leading in STEM, and when the young girls I mentor today become mentors for the next generation. My ultimate goal is to help create tangible pathways toward a more inclusive and sustainable future.
